Ulaanbaatar has a growing number of restaurants, several of which are in a number of major hotels. All restaurants charge in tugrig although you can use your credit cards in some restaurants. While you are in the capital, you can taste Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Korean, Turkish, Mexican, British and Thai food. We would recommend trying the local dishes such as buuz and khuushuur as well.
