The Mongolian government confiscated 140 thousand pirated DVDs and CD from 10 companies around Ulaanbaatar yesterday. The materials confiscated totaled 55 million tugriks in value.

It wasn't that Chinbat Batmunkh hadn't found musical success.

In fact, the musician and keyboard player was famous in his home country of Mongolia. He began playing classical music at age 7, joined a rock band at age 15, and became a well-known songwriter and producer for Mongolian artists.

The 79th anniversary of the State Drama Theatre was observed on Friday with a performance of a musical based on Victor Hugo’s Hunchback of Notre Dame. President Ts.Elbegdorj and First Lady Kh.Bolormaa were in the audience. They met the cast after the show and congratulated them on a “truly magnificent” show. The President promised them his support them and called upon the people to see the musical which is being staged in Mongolia for the first time.

At a ceremony before the premiere, the artistes offered flowers to the memory of D.Natsagdorj.
