The Olympiad of management organizes among the students, who study in management. This Olympiad has much importance to advertise or join universities and colleges that prepare specialists of management. Three students are one team. First stage of Olympiad is on 3, December and second stage is in Mongolian state university of agriculture.

Clearly the infrastructure, especially the railway is the main part of mining operation. Since most of the mineral deposits are situated in southern Gobi regions of Mongolia, the railway issue is attracting even more attention than mining production. There are generally two solutions: putting railway from Ukhaa Khudag to Gashuunsukhait or from Sainshand to Dalanzadgad and connect it to the main railway terminal.
But the Ukhaa Khudag to Gashuun suhait railway became problematic. Energy Resource Company which is planning to construct the railroad has now become the one to blame. Officials say putting this railroad would result to too dependent from China and may even raise national security concerns. Energy Resource says “Why would a domestic company putting a railroad to Gashuun suhait be a violation to national security when placing a railroad to Zamiin-Uud is not?” It thinks they are being blamed deliberately.
In June 2008, Government made a protocol signed by PM S.Bayar, Minister for Infrastructure R.Rash to permit Energy Resource Company build a railroad. The National Security Council also discussed the issue because the mine had strategic significance. President of the time N.Enkhbayar opposed this and the matter was postponed for a while.
The issue revealed itself again on 3rd of October this year and Minister for Road, Transportation, Construction and City Development Kh.Battulga decided it needs to be discussed by the National Security Council. But the Security Council did not make a final decision.
Railroad to Gashuun suhait would be 240 kilometers long and freight cost may be less expensive. Dalanzadgad-Sainshand would be 554 kilometers long, but would be possible to connect with Russia and Chinese railways. Furthermore, Industry Park would be established to manufacture final products as well as creating jobs. Energy Resource also says railroad to Gashuun suhait will open the doors to foreign markets. But there are risks related to outflow of Mongolian money to China.
The company on the other hand stated that it also supports the Dalanzadgad-Sainshand and proposed to construct both. Gashuun suhait railway construction already started. But there are those who suspect the officials for giving the rights to construct railroad to Energy Resource without announcing tenders. Maybe it was because the officials are paying the debt to the company for taking away its license to use Tavantolgoi mine.
What will happen next? If the Parliament supports the Gashuun suhait’s project agrees to build both railways, the Sainshand project may not have its desired support. If not approved, the Energy Resourse would have to stop the work which it started. Energy Resource is paying the expense itself while Sainshand is planning to take financial assistance from abroad. It may be settled by the market law since the law says private investments are welcome.
It would be good if both projects are approved and both railways are constructed.
Since Energy Resource is a business company, it will try to build the railroad less costly as possible. This also raises suspicion of quality. Since the railroad of Dalanzadgad-Sainshand would be much shorter, other mines would try to transport their products through it. This may case financial damage to Sainshand road.
The officials are now in charge of making the main decision.

Press conference was organized by Energy Resource, MCS, Petrovis and Shunkhlai companies yesterday to give information about Ukhaa Khudag coal mine and the issue to construct railroad from Ukhaa hudag to Gashuun suhait port.
Executive director of Energy Resource G.Battsengel said the Ukhaa hudag mining project first started a year ago by the company. More than 850 jobs were created and MNT 20 billion was centralized to the state budget.
“We are aiming to export quality coal and coal products to international markets” he added.
When the journalists asked wouldn’t the building a railroad be a violation to National Security without permission from National Security Council director of Petrovis Company L.Oyungerel answered
“Ukhaa hudag mine was fully invested by Mongolian companies. We hope our act would be welcomed in the same as welcoming foreign investors. It is not threatening the national security. The mine has more than six million tons of coal. It would be problematic to transport its products in other ways than railway. It should not be a violation to national security to put railroads to Gashuu suhait if putting a railroad to Zamiin Uud port is not”
The Company stated that it is aiming export coal to Japan, Korea and India through China.

In Sukhbaatar and Chingeltei districts, where have too many gers, have a problem, which is having much loading in transmit electricity air line and substations. For example, Dornod1 and Yargait transmit electricity air lines have 30 percents loading due to; there have been some electricity hitch since October, 29, 2009.
As a result of the renewed electricity station took measures, Yargait transmit electricity air line has 35 kW, transit to winter condition and supply over 14000 customers by electricity.

Discussion, which is about current situation of renewable energy, will be among the Government, non-governmental organizations, and national scholars of universities I next week. The main topic of this discussion is about national program of energy, implementation of law about renewable energy and some complications, how to overcome them.
Last year ministry of Mineral and energy was organized the first forum, where participated 40 representatives of 36 organizations, that discussed 2 speeches, controversial issues. But this time, observer agent of Government, Department of energy will organize the second forum.
