Nuclear Rumors Proven Untrue

There have been multiple rumors circulating that Mongolia was willing to burry nuclear waste in its low populated steppes regions. President Elbegdorj wants to assure Mongolia and the world that nothing of the sort will happen. He has even said that any government official trying to negotiate with outside parties on the matter will be reprimanded.

Mongolia GDP per Capita to Double by 2012

A head government official has reported that Mongolia's GDP per capita is on track to reach $5,000 by the end of 2012 from its current $2,470. An increase in tax revenues this year looks set to prevent the forecast budget deficit. Government spending is not expected to slow even though there is double digit inflation.

Aspire Mining New Management

Mr. Barsbold Tserenpuntsag has been appointed as Aspire's Chief Geologist. Mr. Barsbold is responsible for the discovery of the company's Ovoot mine which contains high grade coking coal.
